1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TradeBuddy collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the app, website, and related services.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect account information, profile information, trading preferences, profile photos, posts, comments, chart images, messages, connections, membership and transaction references, support communications, device information, usage information, and approximate or precise location when you enable Nearby Traders.
Password authentication is handled by our authentication provider. TradeBuddy does not have access to your plain-text password. Full card, bank, or UPI credentials are processed by payment providers and are not stored by TradeBuddy.

4. Trader Recommendations
TradeBuddy uses profile information and trading preferences you choose to provide to recommend traders who may be relevant to you. Recommendations are informational and do not guarantee compatibility, communication, friendship, or trading success. We do not disclose our internal scoring rules or proprietary methodology.
5. Public and Private Information
Profile information you choose to share may be visible to other members. Feed posts, comments, reactions, and chart images are visible to members according to the service design.
Direct messages are visible to conversation participants. Authorized systems and personnel may process or access messages when necessary to deliver the service, respond to reports, investigate abuse, provide technical support, protect users, or comply with law.
6. Nearby Traders and Location
Nearby Traders uses location only after you grant permission. The feature may display approximate distance to other participating members. You can disable location access through the app or device settings.
7. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies
TradeBuddy may use cookies, local storage, authentication tokens, SDKs, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, maintain security, and improve performance.
8. Third-Party Services
We may use service providers for authentication, cloud hosting, media storage, email delivery, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, and customer support. These providers receive information only as needed to provide their services.
TradeBuddy does not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, and server-side authorization. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as needed to operate the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements. Deleted data may remain in secure backups for a limited period before removal.
11. Account Deletion
You may permanently delete your account from Settings or use our public account-deletion page. Account deletion removes profile data, trading preferences, connections, Feed content, location data, notifications, and other associated information according to our retention policy.
Existing direct-message history may remain visible to the other participant for conversation continuity. Your identity is replaced with “Deleted User,” identifying profile information is removed, and no new messages can be sent.
12. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your information. Submit requests through Contact Support or email us.
13. Children’s Privacy
TradeBuddy is intended only for users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children.
14. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. We use service providers and safeguards designed to protect information as required by applicable law.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes may be communicated through the app or by email.
